Care Leavers

You may be entitled to a Council Tax exemption if all residents in the property are care leavers.

All residents in the property must be qualifying care leavers for an exemption to be awarded.

If an exemption is awarded it will end on the date any existing or new resident in the property is no longer a qualifying care leaver.

You must tell us immediately of any change in the household circumstances.

How to apply:

Each resident in the property should contact the Aftercare Team at the local authority where they were cared for and ask them to provide us with confirmation that they are a care leaver.
