Current Road Closures, Diversions and Traffic Disruptions
Details of road closures and diversions currently in place in West Lothian.
It is our aim to limit the inconvenience to road users during maintenance works however, from time to time, we need to close roads or divert the traffic.

Work to deliver significant road and infrastructure improvements on Edinburgh Road, Bathgate starts from 21 September 2026
Parking will be suspended around the junctions of Almond West Road and Carron Walk on both sides of the road to allow 2way lights to be installed safely to be able to carryout work for new telecoms equipment
Willowdean Street will be closed and parking suspended between properties 13-30 for drainage installation
Burnside Roundabout will be closed West Bound to facilitate the installation of new street lighting ducting
Bankton Court will be closed outside number 2 to the junction of Murieston East Road for ironworks repairs and maintenance
Church View will be closed from the junction with B9080 to number 25/60 Church View for carriageway resurfacing
The A801 Boghead to Pottishaw Roundabout will be closed for carriageway resurfacing and street lighting upgrades. A section of the B7002 Whitburn Road on the approach to the Boghead roundabout will be closed overnight for a period during this project (signage will indicate when the overnight closures are taking place as the project progresses).
B8020 Beatlie Road, Winchburgh will be closed and have a parking restriction in place from the junction with B9080 Main Street, northwards to the junction of Loccie Road to allow for carriageway patching.
The C29 will be closed from substation to junction with Main Street for cabling works
Parking will be suspended on Moray Drive and Braehead Drive. Moray Drive from the junction with Mains Road southwards to junction with Braehead Road and Braehead Road from the junction with Moray Drive generally eastwards to the junction with Merker Terrace for carriageway patching.
The U28 Linburn Road will be closed from the junction with Main Street to the junction with the A71 for cabling work
Greendykes Road will be closed around the junction with East Main Street and Strathbrock Place will also be closed. Parking will also be suspended on Greensdykes Road, East Main Street and Strathbrock Place for carriageway works
