Current Road Closures, Diversions and Traffic Disruptions
Details of road closures and diversions currently in place in West Lothian.
It is our aim to limit the inconvenience to road users during maintenance works however, from time to time, we need to close roads or divert the traffic.

The B8028 and U9, Bathgate will be closed from Bridgehouse Burn Bridge to the junction with the U9 and from Bridgehouse Community Hall to junction of B8028 for BT cabling works and installing pole
Hens Nest Road will be closed from the junction with Cannop Crescent to the entrance to South East Longridge Crofts for Scottish Water works
The A801 northbound arm of Whitburn Interchange and A801 southbound arm of Whitburn Interchange. will be closed to allow for concrete investigation works to be carried out at the two structures that carry the M8 over the A801 Whitburn Interchange. Closures will be overnight with one arm of the roundabout closed at any one time
Ladywell East Road will be closed from Moss Interchange Bridge crossing Houston Road for replacement of bridge joints and surfacing patching on the bridge
The Middleton Road will be closed from the junction with with Loaninghill Cottages to number 55 for drainage works
Parking will be suspended on Blackness Road, Springfield Road and Baron Hill and The Peel, Linlithgow Palace will be closed to allow for the correct proper traffic management to be put in place for Party at The Palace music event
Pumpherston Road, Bank Street, Main Street and Market Street will be closed for carriageway resurfacing works taking place over two phases
Greendykes Road will be closed around the junction with East Main Street and Strathbrock Place will also be closed. Parking will also be suspended on Greensdykes Road, East Main Street and Strathbrock Place for carriageway works
The footpath and car parking area next to 92 Kennilworth Rise will be closed to allow for scaffolding to be erected for roofing works
Main Street will be closed in phases for extensive carriageway resurfacing works
Howden South Road will be closed between Terrace Roundabout and Almondvale East Road for carriageway resurfacing works
The C17, Rural Linlithgow will be closed from the junction with Riccarton Drive to the junction with C18 for ironwork replacement
