On 12 December 2025 it was announced that Blackburn, Fauldhouse and Whitburn had been selected for the UK Government's Pride in Place Phase 2 funding.

Pride in Place Board
The Pride in Place programme will be overseen by a Neighbourhood Board. The Board will be made up of local people who must develop a Pride in Place Plans together with the wider community outing how the funding will be spent. The Board will be led by an independent Chair.
Recruitment of a Chair

It is desirable that the Chair has previous experience of chairing boards, delivering regeneration activities in the community and budget / project management experience.
