Review of Licensing Board Policy Statement

The Licensing Board has completed the review of its policy statement.

The Board sought the views of the public and stakeholders on policy issues relating to licensing the sale of alcohol. That consultation closed on 14 April 2023. The results of the consultation were analysed by the Board and changes were made to the draft policy. A further consultation on the wording of the revised policy took place in September 2023. The results of the second consultation were analysed by the Board and no changes were made to the draft policy.

The Board approved the policy West Lothian Licensing Board Policy Statement 2023-28 (PDF, 990 KB)(opens new window) for 2023-28 at its meeting on 13 October 2023 and it is now in effect.
