Open space consultation
Good parks, play areas and greenspaces make a real difference to us all, and our Open Space Team is working hard to protect and improve them across the council.
The Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 requires West Lothian Council to prepare and publish an Open Space Strategy (The Strategy).
The Strategy sets out the Council's policies and proposals related to the development, maintenance and use of Open Space in West Lothian, including our parks, play areas and natural environments.
To develop the Strategy, the Council are undertaking an audit of existing open space and an assessment of current and future requirements. Your views are essential in this process. The results of this survey will inform the 'Action Plan' and the
priorities we set for investment in open spaces across West Lothian, and within your local area, for the next 10 years.
