Bathgate town centre improvement meeting
Do you work, own or manage a Bathgate town centre business?
You are invited to come along and join a discussion and meeting taking place in the Jim Walker Partnership Centre, South Bridge Street in Bathgate, on Tuesday 2 December 2025, starting at 6pm.
Following an initial meeting in summer 2025, involving local business and community groups, and discussion on the future vitality and viability of our town centre, a second meeting will look to take the next step in the possible option of investigating the concept of an improvement district for here in Bathgate.
This will include outlining and identification of what needs to happen next, starting with potential members of a local steering group to drive this community initiative.
Whilst the further discussion is being facilitated on behalf of representative participant groups within the Bathgate Town Centre Management Group, there remains continuing support and guidance from Scotland's Improvement Districts (SIDs). SIDs is the lead organisation for supporting and encouraging the development and success of the nation's improvement district work. It forms part of Scotland's Towns Partnership (STP) and is supported by the Scottish Government.
