Team effort helps Fauldhouse pupils
Pupils from Fauldhouse schools have been kitted out for success, thanks to an innovative partnership.
Fauldhouse Community Youth Target and Fauldhouse United Football Club have teamed up to provide brand new football kits for Falla Hill and St John the Baptist primary schools.
The new kits, which were kindly sponsored and funded by Dave Huddlestone from Fauldhouse Community Youth Target and former Secretary of Fauldhouse United, aim to encourage more pupils to take part in sport and encourage teamwork, by removing barriers that might prevent children taking part.
West Lothian's Provost Cathy Muldoon was invited along to help present the new strips to the excited pupils. She said: "Huge thanks to Fauldhouse Community Youth Target and Fauldhouse United Football Club for this fantastic donation of football strips.
"It's fantastic to see local organisations come together to help encourage our young people to stay active and healthy."
Dave Huddlestone, Vice-chair of Fauldhouse Community Youth Target, added: "It's a pleasure to enable this project to go forward for the benefit of the children and the wider community."
Steven Sharp, Director of Football at Fauldhouse United FC, said: "It's fantastic to work in partnership with Fauldhouse Community Youth Target, who do so much for the youth in Fauldhouse, and we also work closely with both schools who are so passionate about football.
"We're delighted the schools have welcomed our support and look forward to strengthening those relationships even further as we continue to do what we can to support the community."
