Almondell Footbridge

Following the recent closure of the footbridge within Almondell & Calderwood Country Park, our Structures Team has worked with our Contractor and arranged for essential repairs to be completed. The deck boards have been fully replaced, and new anti-slip boards have been installed. The timber parapets have also been replaced with steel parapets, which have been welded onto the deck. The bridge has since been reopened, however, users are reminded that the bridge is suitable for pedestrians and cyclists only and is not suitable for equestrian use.
