Linlithgow BID Ballots

Ballots closed at 5pm on Thursday 26 September 2024 on proposals for Business Improvement Districts for Linlithgow Town and for Mill Road

Ballots were held on proposals for Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) for 

  • Linlithgow Town 
  • Mill Road 

In order for a BID to be successful the ballot must meet the following four criteria

  1. At least 25% of those eligible to vote have voted; and
  2. The total aggregate rateable values  of relevant properties for which a person voted in the ballot is equal to at least 25% of the total aggregate rateable values; and
  3. The number of votes cast in favour of the BID proposals exceeds the number who voted against; and
  4. The aggregate rateable values of relevant properties in respect of which a person voted in favour of the BID proposals exceeds the aggregate rateable values of relevant properties in respect of which a person voted against the BID proposals.  

 

The BID proposals for Linlithgow Town have been approved
