It was agreed at a meeting of the Economy, Community Empowerment and Wealth Building Scrutiny Panel on 8 September 2026 to consult on 8 "Draft Conservation Areas Appraisals" (CAAs) relating to the existing conservation areas at Broxburn, Gowanbank, Kirknewton, Linlithgow (Palace & High Street), Linlithgow (Upper Linlithgow & Union Canal), Livingston Village, Mid Calder and Uphall. Additionally, comments are invited on the Draft Bangour Village Hospital Conservation Area "Interim Review" and the Draft Torphichen Conservation Area "Boundary and Management Review."
