How do I apply for benefit on two homes?

You can apply for benefit on two homes in a number of ways

You can apply for benefit on two homes by using our online form. Alternatively applications can be made in writing, by e-mail to benefits (opens new window) or at your local council office, providing the following information:

  • The date you moved into your new address
  • The date your old tenancy ends
  • The reason you have to pay rent on both homes and why you are moving
