Information on ePlanning

ePlanning can be the quickest and simplest way to submit a planning application. You can use the ePlanning portal for most types of application.

ePlanning.scot is run by the Government, although the council will receive and process any applications made for addresses in West Lothian. If your application is incomplete for any reason, we will contact you to let you know what is required. If decide not to pay the planning application fee through the ePlanning website, you can pay by cheque or at a cash office at one of the Customer Information Service Centres. If you do this, please send us the site address and / or receipt details as soon as you pay, so that your application can be processed without delay.

If you're using the ePlanning website for the first time, you will need to register and set up an account. A downloadable users guide is available.

If you would like to view a planning application that has already been submitted to the council you can do this on the West Lothian planning portal (opens new window).
